Actor/Writer/ Producer

ITFUM

Born in the Netherlands and raised in Pakistan. Raimu Itfum is an actor, writer and producer now based in England with a main artistic focus within film, theatre and audio work. He is an alumni of the Young Vic Theatre Fresh Direction Program, BFI Shorts Film school, Soho Theatre Writers Lab and Kiln Theatre's Writers Program.

His producing and directing work consists of shorts such as: Husky Hips (2022), C.O.M.P.L.E.X;ities (2021), Soli|tidue (2021)Laws of Attractions (2017). Theatre works such as: A Marriage Proposal at the MAC (2024), Lady Lessons at Theatre 503 (2023), Sundown Kiki as a TAD (Trainee Assistant Director) at the Young Vic Theatre (2021), Magnets No.2- What it takes to be a man? (UK Tour 2013-2015), Turning Heads at Secombe Theatre (2011). As well audio works such as: Symphonies of Beaded Threads (2023) and Chai with Rai (2020- current). His writing credits include: MYTHS: From the diary of Just a F#@K boy with Feelings (in commission stages by Kala Sangam Arts x Jaivant Patel Company), Jheel (2024) One Night of Bollywood Dreams (2023) and The Boys (2021) to name a few. Raimu also has an extensive movement direction/ choreographic portfolio with a background in being a faculty teacher for Danceworks London, Pineapple Dance Studios and Base Dance Studios. He is currently an Assistant Choreographer at Donmar Warehouse for Ellen Kane on the production of Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet. His previous credits include: Jiggy at Traflagar Square (2024), Brown Girls Noise (2023), What’s Love Got to do with it (2023), Port Magazine (2023) and Diwali at Trafalgar Square (2018) to name a few. He is also currently training in Intimacy Coaching and has completed courses through NFTS (National Film & Theatre School) , Hope Theatre and Scrum Theatre.

As a performer his Film & TV credits include: Bob Marley: One Love, Aladdin, The Eternals, Queer Parivaar, Levis, Strictly Come Dancing, Strictly- it takes two, Tui, Johnnie Walker, Ikea, Nio Cocktails, Hotel Chocolat, LFW ‘13 & ‘14, M&S, Oliver Awards '15, Rambert Dance- The Playground , Adidas, X Factor , Bhangra Nation, Britain's Got Talent, Fame- The Musical, The Tempest, Mother Courage & Her Children, Mamma Mia, Shooting Truth, King Lear, Chicago. As well working with prestigious organisation such as: Tate Britain, V&A Museum, The Vaults, Tara Theatre, Kiln Theatre, Soho Theatre, Young Vic Theatre, National Theatre, Birmingham Rep Theatre, Northern Stage, National Theatre Connections, The Biscuit Factory, Her Majesty's Theatre, Rose Theatre and Sadler's Wells.
